UFC 213: Start time, TV schedule for Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2

Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko will face off for the bantamweight championship at UFC 213 live on pay-per-view.

Update: The main event has been scrapped after champion Amanda Nunes had to pull out of the fight with an illness. Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker will now fight for the interim middleweight championship in the main event.

Two titles will be on the line on Saturday live on pay-per-view with UFC 213: Nunes vs. Shevchenko 2. The women’s bantamweight title will be up for grabs in the main event between Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko. The interim middleweight title will also be on the line in the co-feature between Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker.

` event will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET with the UFC Fight Pass prelims. It will continue on FOX Sports 1 with the second round of prelim bouts at 8 p.m. and finally, the pay-per-view will be available in the United States at 10 p.m. Online streams of the card can be found on Fight Pass, UFC.TV and the UFC YouTube channel.

Nunes fought Shevchenko before she fought for the title, and she won that fight via unanimous decision. Since then, she has beaten Miesha Tate with a rear-naked choke submission to claim the title and, most recently, scored a TKO over Ronda Rousey to defend her title.

Shevchenko, a former muay thai champion, has notched wins over Holly Holm via decision and Julianna Pena via submission since her loss to Nunes. She’s earned her way back into the title picture and the fight should be a good one.

Middleweight champion Michael Bisping is sidelined with an injury and in the meantime, the UFC will crown an interim champion for the division. Romero is the favorite in the fight against Whittaker, the Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes welterweight winner.

Romero is 13-1 as a professional, his only loss coming to Rafael Cavalcante in September 2011. He has won eight consecutive fights in the UFC, including over big names like Lyoto Machida, Ronaldo Souza and, most recently, former champion Chris Weidman.

The main card will also include a heavyweight bout between former champion Fabricio Werdum and Alistair Overeem, the third contest between the two. A lightweight match between Anthony Pettis and company man Jim Miller will open them ain card at 10 p.m.

Below is all you need to know to watch the action on Saturday, and below that is the full fight card for the evening.
