Brad Keselowski may very well clinch the Nationwide Series championship on Saturday – with two races to go. It’s been another runaway race won by a Sprint Cup Series driver, which has made the Nationwide title race seem less important.
Should Nationwide Series Limit Cup Drivers’ Participation?
↵NASCAR has said since early summer that it’s considering major changes to the Nationwide points system – specifically, rumors say officials will make it so that a Cup driver cannot win the championship.
↵But apparently, that doesn’t involve restricting the number of races a Cup driver can run.
↵Should it? Our own Lee Montgomery, Nationwide Series expert who writes at NNSRacing.com, blogged that when it comes to letting Cup drivers run the races, “Times have changed – and the series should, too.”
↵Read Montgomery’s blog entitled “What to do about Sprint Cup drivers in the Nationwide Series?” and let us know if you agree.
