↵So to help you catch up, here’s the first of some offseason recaps:

↵• The struggling NASCAR Hall of Fame, which has been in the news for the wrong reasons lately, announced that the 2011 Induction Ceremony will be May 23 (a Monday night instead of Sunday afternoon).
↵• Outgoing NASCAR PR chief Ramsey Poston tweeted Tuesday that the sanctioning body has decided to relax its dress code. Long pants and closed-toed shoes will no longer be required when the garage or pits are cold. The dress code remained the same when the track is “hot.”
↵• NASCAR has informed its Nationwide Series teams that testing will be permitted at five tracks this season. On the day before the race weekends begin, Daytona, Las Vegas, Bristol, Texas and Iowa will have a four-hour open practice session, a team owner told SB Nation.
