NASCAR Infineon Raceway Starting Lineup: Joey Logano Leads 2011 Sonoma Qualifying

Of all the road course aces, ringers and past Sonoma winners in the field for Sunday’s race here, the guy who out-drove them all for the Infineon Raceway pole on Friday was none other than Joey Logano.

Logano, making just his third Infineon start, turned a lap of 93.256 mph, putting him in the top spot for Sunday’s race ahead of Jamie McMurray (93.223), Paul Menard, Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman.

Former Sonoma winner Kasey Kahne was next, followed by Richard Petty Motorsports teammates AJ Allmendinger and Marcos Ambrose. Clint Bowyer and Brian Vickers rounded out the top 10.

It was the second career pole for Logano, who also had the top spot for the 2010 spring race at Bristol.

Kurt Busch snapped a streak of three consecutive pole positions in the Sprint Cup Series.
