Daytona 500 schedule 2013: Start times for NASCAR’s season-opening Speedweeks

The 2013 Daytona 500 schedule was released on Thursday, and the “Great American Race” will retain its traditional 1 p.m. Eastern start time.

This will be the fourth consecutive year in which the 500 is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start (last season’s Daytona 500, of course, turned out to be a Monday night race due to rain). It will again air on FOX and be broadcast on MRN radio.

4:30 p.m. – Lucas Oil 200 ARCA race (SPEED)

8 p.m. – Daytona Shootout (FOX)

Feb. 17 (Sunday)

1 p.m. – Daytona 500 qualifying (FOX)

Feb. 21 (Thursday)

2 p.m. – Budweiser Duels (SPEED)

Feb. 22 (Friday)

7:30 p.m. – NextEra Energy Resources 250 Camping World Truck Series race (SPEED)

Feb. 23 (Saturday)

1 p.m. – DRIVE4COPD 300 Nationwide Series race (ESPN)

Feb. 24 (Sunday)

1 p.m. – 55th annual Daytona 500 (FOX)
