The 2013 Daytona 500 schedule was released on Thursday, and the “Great American Race” will retain its traditional 1 p.m. Eastern start time.
Daytona 500 schedule 2013: Start times for NASCAR’s season-opening Speedweeks


This will be the fourth consecutive year in which the 500 is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start (last season’s Daytona 500, of course, turned out to be a Monday night race due to rain). It will again air on FOX and be broadcast on MRN radio.
