The summertime heat and steam will continue for this afternoon’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Race at Talladega Superspeedway. Once again, highs will be in the 90s and feel even hotter with all the moisture in the air. The heat index could feel like 93 to 95 degrees. If you’re going to be at the race, it’s important to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
NASCAR Talladega Superspeedway Weather Forecast 2012: Still, Hot, Humid With Spotty Storms
Pop-up showers and thunderstorms, capable of quick downpours, are also possible in the afternoon. Like Saturday, many of these showers will be hit or miss, but it just takes one to cause a delay. With temperatures this hot, some of the fans may not mind a quick rain shower to cool them off.
