NASCAR Michigan International Speedway 2012 Weather Forecast And Weekend Schedule

From as early as Sunday night and Monday, this weekend’s weather forecast for NASCAR’s race at Michigan International Speedway looked flawless. But there is a reason I don’t post forecasts before Wednesday: Most of the time, they will change and this forecast did.

Most of the weekend is warm and sunny until we get to Sunday. The high pressure that has provided sunshine for most of this week will break down going into Saturday night and Sunday. This will allow a disturbance to move through and increase the change of showers and thunderstorms for Sunday.

The main concern I have for this forecast is the trend of the forecast models. They’ve been increasing the threat of rain for Sunday not decreasing it with each new update. Will continue to monitor and have an update later tonight.
