VIDEO: Huge Crash In 24 Hours Of Le Mans Race

A massive crash in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this afternoon wiped out two cars, sending one airborne and leaving the other on its roof after the contact.

Toyota driver Anthony Davidson, who qualified third for the 24-hour race, was turning into the corner in his prototype when a Ferrari GT class car driven by Piergiuseppe Perazzini made contact and sent the ex-Formula One racer airborne.

Davidson did a complete flip in the air and landed on his wheels before crashing into the tire barrier, but the Ferrari had what seemed like an even harder hit into the barrier.

The GT car hit with such force that it flipped over onto its roof. Fortunately, it appeared both drivers were out of the car and walking, though it’s unclear if either has any minor injuries.

Davidson, 33, is a British driver who spent four years in F1 before turning to sports cars.

Perazzini, 56, is an Italian sports car racer with many years of experience.
