NASCAR Pocono Raceway 2012 Weekend Weather Forecast And Schedule

A slight chance of rain still remains in the weather forecast for the NASCAR weekend at Pocono Raceway. It will remain mostly dry with sunshine and clouds, but each afternoon could feature pop-up showers and isolated storms.

An area of high pressure will be over the region for most of the day Saturday. Afternoon temperatures will be in the mid-70s, with a mix of sunshine and clouds. As a cold front arrives from the north, there could be a few pop-up showers or storms during the afternoon, but expect most of the day, especially for the ARCA race, to remain dry.

A cold front moves through Saturday night, but the only impact this system is expected to have will be a few isolated to scattered showers or storms overnight.

Sunday looks mostly dry. There is just the slightest of chance of an isolated afternoon shower or storm, but I don’t anticipate any problems for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunday afternoon.

The forecast for Sunday is mostly sunny, and actually a little warmer. Afternoon temperatures will be near 80. There is just a slight chance for a pop shower or storm in the afternoon.
