Which NASCAR Track Has The Most Twitter Followers?

Getty Images for NASCAR

Since the last time we ranked NASCAR tracks by number of Twitter followers (December 2010), much has changed. Twitter is now a must-use tool for every speedway to connect with fans and promote upcoming events; many tracks have hired people to manage their social media instead of having a public relations person try to do it all.

As you can imagine, the overall Twitter rankings have changed as well. On the other list, Daytona International Speedway had 6,700 followers and was fifth among all tracks.

And now? Daytona is No. 1 with 45,240 followers – which is probably how it should be, considering Daytona’s place as the host of NASCAR’s biggest race.

How do the rest of the tracks stack up? Here are all 23 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series venues as ranked by number of Twitter followers (numbers as of Monday):

1. Daytona International Speedway: 45,240 followers
