There will be a new addition to the Denny Hamlin household.
Denny Hamlin’s Girlfriend Jordan Fish Expecting Couple’s First Child
Hamlin announced Friday at Pocono Raceway that he and girlfriend Jordan Fish are expecting the couple’s first child in January.
“I’m excited, it’s been a long time coming,” said Hamlin, 31. “It’s going to be exciting to be a dad.”
When asked if he was ready to be a first-time father, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver laughed, but did say he’ll rely on his parents for advice.
Hamlin has fond memories of his father and said he would like to be “half of what my dad was.”
“My family has done a lot for me to get to this point, obviously, with all the sacrifices and all that they’ve gone through,” Hamlin said. “My dad tells me all the time that some of the best times he had was just carrying me around in a pickup truck every day, taking me to work and things like that.
“It’s going to be a great experience. I’m really excited about it and to be part of it. From my parents to have grandkids – it’s all going to be good.”
Hamlin said the couple has no immediate plans to get married.
