NASCAR Charlotte 2013: Start time, TV schedule for Bank of America 500

The NASCAR circuit heads to Charlotte this weekend as the Chase for the Cup heats up.

Kevin Liles-USA TODAY Sports

The fifth race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup hits Charlotte this weekend for the Bank of America 500. With Matt Kenseth holding the slimmest of leads over Jimmie Johnson and the rest of the field, there should be no shortage of excitement on Saturday evening.

The green flag is scheduled to wave at approximately 7:46 p.m. ET. ABC will have full television coverage of the race, including prerace and postrace discussion. Allen Bestwick, Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree will be in the booth calling all of the action. Dave Burns, Jamie Little, Dr. Jerry Punch and Vince Welch will be down in the pit providing all of the mid-race updates.

For fans unable to be in front of a television on Saturday night, those with SiriusXM Radio can catch the race on channel 90. Full viewing information can be found here.

On Thursday, Jeff Gordon edged Kevin Harvick in qualifying to grab the top starting position. Behind Gordon and Harvick on the starting line will be Greg Biffle, Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne.
