NASCAR driver Travis Kvapil has been arrested and charged with assault after a dispute with his wife, the Mooresville (N.C.) Police Department have confirmed to SB Nation.

Mooresville police officers were called to the Kvapil residence after a 911 call Tuesday evening, following a dispute between Kvapil and his wife.

After conducting an investigation, police charged Kvapil, 37, with one count each of assault on a female and false imprisonment. He was taken to Iredell County Jail and held under a domestic hold before being released Wednesday on bond.

Currently the driver of the No. 93 Toyota for BK Racing, Kvapil and his wife, Jennifer, have three children: Kelsey, Carson and Caden.
