NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick and family escaped unharmed from an early morning fire that broke out at their home.

A call was received at 12:16 a.m., Oak Ridge Department Fire Chief Steve Simmons told SB Nation. Three departments from the local area were dispatched and were on the scene approximately 3 hours, 15 minutes. According to a tweet posted by Harvick’s wife DeLana, a fire alarm woke up the couple and their 1-year-old son Keelan.

— DeLana Harvick (@DeLanaHarvick) November 27, 2013 The exact cause of fire is still under investigation, but a statement issued by Kevin Harvick Inc. said the fire started in the basement.
“Last night the local fire department was called to the Harvick’s house where a fire started in the basement in the early morning hours. There was structural and smoke damage within the area. Kevin, DeLana and Keelan were not injured. Thank you all for the outpouring of concern.”
Harvick, who finished third in the Sprint Cup standings this past season, posted an Instagram photo of firefighters on ladders poking holes in the ceiling.
