The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series officially kicks off its 2013 season with the 55th edition of the Daytona 500, which will take the green flag at 1:29 p.m. ET with television coverage provided by Fox.

In qualifying for the “Great American Race,” Danica Patrick became the first woman to win a pole in a Cup race and she will share the front row with Jeff Gordon. The remainder of the 43-car field was filled out by the finishing order of the twin qualifying races held Thursday, along with speeds from time trials and owner points from last season.
