After a long period of clean, single-file racing, we have another crash in the 2013 Daytona 500. Brad Keselowski looked like he got bumped and got sideways in a turn, going all the way down to the apron as sparks flew. Behind him, however, a bit of chaos erupted.

A second wreck at the Daytona 500 took out Trevor Bayne, Terry Labonte and Carl Edwards, among others.
Keselowski saved it -- though it’s unclear how much damage his car took as he bottomed out -- but others weren’t so lucky. David Gilliland, Terry Labonte, Trevor Bayne and Austin Dillon, among others, were all caught up in the aftermath, with multiple cars sustaining significant damage.
Carl Edwards was also involved, making it his fourth wreck during Speedweeks. It’s been a nightmare for Edwards, and Sunday’s crash caps it all off.
With just about 60 laps to go, we’re past the halfway point and nearing the homestretch. Outside of this crash, and one earlier on the 32nd lap, it’s been relatively quiet at Daytona. Most drivers have been content to sit in a single-file line on the high side, fearing a loss of track position if they get out of line.
We’ll see what the sprint to the finish has in store, though, as drivers get impatient and start to make moves.
