2013 Daytona 500 results: Full finishing order

Here are the full results of the 2013 Daytona 500, which was won by Jimmie Johnson.

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Jimmie Johnson has won the 2013 Daytona 500, narrowly holding off the hard-charging Dale Earnhardt Jr. to secure the win. This was Johnson’s second victory in the “Great American Race,” having won in 2006.

Johnson led the way on the high side, holding off Greg Biffle and Danica Patrick as the drivers ticked off laps following the final caution of the day. On the last lap, Earnhardt Jr. made his move, diving inside in an attempt to slingshot by Johnson.

He couldn’t, though, and Johnson led the way into the tri-oval and through the finish line to take the win. Earnhardt Jr. just came up short, and Patrick fell back to eighth in the chaos at the finish line.
