When the green flag drops on Friday night for the NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, Alex Bowman and Kyle Busch will lead the field after Bowman earned the pole position earlier in the day.

Bowman, 20, is 10th in the Nationwide Series points standings after earning top-10 finishes in two of the first five races of the season, including a third-place finish in the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway. On Friday night, he’ll be starting alongside Busch, who has earned victories in three of the first five races of the year in the Nationwide Series.

As a full-time Sprint Cup Series driver, Busch is ineligible to earn a spot in the Nationwide Series standings, so Sam Hornish Jr. who instead holds the top spot in the standings. On Friday night, Hornish will start in fourth, on the outside of Row 2, beside Austin Dillon, the fifth-place driver in the series standings.

The race is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN2.
