NASCAR Martinsville 2013: Lineup, starting grid for STP Gas Booster 500

Full lineup and starting grid for the STP Gas Booster 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Sunday.

Drew Hallowell

After a weekend off, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will resume on Sunday at Martinsville Speedway. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is in charge of the standings, with a 12-point lead over reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski.

But he won’t be leading off the starting grid, that’s for sure. Jimmie Johnson holds the pole position with a 98.400 miles-per-hour top speed in the qualifying round. Marcos Ambrose will be next to him, with Brian Vickers and Joey Logano, and Kasey Kahne and Jeff Gordon rounding out the top three rows.

Earnhardt will be in the No. 17 spot, in the ninth row. It promises to be an exciting event, with Martinsville being one of the more high-action tracks out there. The .526-mile track has featured double-digit caution flags in 30 of the last 32 races in the Sprint Cup circuit.
