It’s All-Star Race day, and 19 of the 22 expected participants have their spots set in the starting grid.

Carl Edwards and Kurt Busch will be at the front of the starting lineup in the 2013 NASCAR All-Star Race on Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

For more on the All-Star Race, head over to SB Nation's NASCAR hub.

Edwards topped the qualifying session, which allowed drivers to take a break from the normal requirements. Dale Earnhardt Jr. originally finished in second place, but was penalized for a loose lug nut, knocking him down to 15th. That allowed Busch to move up to the runner-up spot, securing his place alongside Edwards at the top of the grid.

Nineteen drivers are guaranteed spots and three additional participants will be decided during the 40-lap Sprint Showdown. The Showdown begins at 7:30 p.m. ET with the All-Star Race beginning at 9 p.m.
