For much of the day, rain dominated activities at Talladega Super Speedway as fans and drivers tried to stay dry and warm. Sprint Cup qualifying was rained out and much of the afternoon was spent watching jet dryers turn laps around the track. Finally, at 5:20 local time, the Nationwide cars took the track for some racing.

When it was done, Regan Smith won the Aaron’s 312 in exciting fashion as the field crashed behind him on the last lap.
