NASCAR at Indianapolis Motor Speedway 2013 qualifying: Denny Hamlin goes for 2nd straight pole at Indy
Denny Hamlin is off to a rough start in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season. Taking a second-straight pole at Indy would help his bid to get back on track.

Hamlin earned the pole for the 2012 race by averaging 182.763 mph during the two-lap session. He finished sixth in the race and eventually ended up in sixth place in the Sprint Cup Standings after taking the checkered flag on five occasions.
The circuit hasn’t been as kind to Hamlin in 2013. He missed four races due to injury and has finished in the top five three times. Hamlin is currently 25th in the NSCS standings.
Last year, Jimmie Johnson won at the Brickyard for the fourth time in seven years, holding off Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle over the final 20 laps to tie Jeff Gordon for the most NSCS victories at Indianapolis.
ESPN will have coverage of the qualifying session starting at 2:10 p.m. ET
