2013 NASCAR At New Hampshire weather forecast: Could rain affect another Sunday?

Cold front will push across New England on Sunday bringing rain with it, but this time, timing looks to be on NASCAR’s side. Find out when it will bring rain in our detailed NASCAR weather forecast for Loudon, NH.

After the five plus hour rain delay at Chicagoland Speedway last weekend to kick off the NASCARChase for the Sprint Cup, rain is the last thing anyone wants to see in this weekend’s forecast. Unfortunately rain is in the weather forecast this weekend but this time, the timing of the rain favors NASCAR.

This weekend’s weather forecast is almost identical to the forecast last year at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The weekend starts off sunny and dry today with warm temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Saturday is also dry, but clouds will be on the increase as we go into the afternoon. Highs on Saturday are a little cooler only reaching the mid 70s.

The clouds that increase on Saturday are associated with an approaching cold front that will work across New England Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain will be heavy and steady during the early to mid morning hours on Sunday but expected to move out by midday. There is a small chance of lingering showers and drizzle but I don’t expect the same problem we had in Chicago last week. If there is any delays, it would be to the start of the race due to the morning rain and when it eventually stops. The odds of racing on Sunday with rain in the forecast is 80%.
