The top seed in the Chase, Kenseth has already picked up his first win of NASCAR’s playoffs when he took the checkered flag in Sunday’s Geico 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick finished second and third with Kurt Busch and Jimmie Johnson completing the top five.
It was a good sign for Kenseth’s title chances, as the past two Sprint Cup champions picked up a win in the opening race at Chicago. He now holds an eight-point lead over Busch in standings, with Johnson just three points behind Busch in third.
The race is set for 2 p.m. ET, and will be on ESPN, with prerace coverage beginning an hour earlier. The green flag is scheduled for approximately 2:15 p.m., according to Jayski.com.
