The NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to Dover International Speedway this weekend as the season continues to wind down and afford fewer opportunities for drivers to compete for the top position in the series standings. Only five races remain after this weekend, with the 5-Hour Energy 500 on Saturday continuing what will be a tight race to the end of the season.
NASCAR Nationwide Series 2013 at Dover International Speedway lineup: Sam Hornish Jr. holding onto to standings lead
Sam Hornish Jr. will attempt to hold off the hard-charging Austin Dillon at Dover on Saturday.

Sam Hornish Jr. continues to hold on to the top spot in the Nationwide standings a week after finishing fourth at the Kentucky 300 and seeing his lead over Austin Dillon drop by three points. Hornish hasn’t exactly shined at Dover in recent years though, having never led at lap at the track in his career. He heads into the weekend with an average finishing position of 15.3 at the one-mile concrete track.
Meanwhile, Dillon has never finished outside of the top 10 at Dover in three starts at the track. In June, Dillon led 43 laps at Dover before finishing eighth and is coming off a second-place finish at Kentucky that saw him once again jump in the overall standings.
Qualifying for the race begins at 12:10 p.m. ET with all drivers set to take just two laps before the 3:30 p.m. ET start. The full lineup for the race can be found here.
