NASCAR Richmond 2013: Start time, TV schedule for Federated Auto Parts 400

Jeff Gordon won his first pole of the year Friday. Can he turn it into his first race win of 2013?

Patrick Smith

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series returns to Richmond International Speedway Saturday night for the Federated Auto Parts 400. Pre-race coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on ABC. The official television broadcast of Saturday’s race begins at 7:30 ET, with the green flag scheduled to drop at 7:44 ET. Allen Bestwick, Dale Jarrett, and Andy Petree will be in the booth.

For the first time in 2013, Jeff Gordon sits on the pole of a Sprint Cup race. Gordon, who starts the day 11th in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, has yet to win a race this season. Gordon is just six points behind Kurt Busch, who joins him on the front row Saturday. He will be attempting a repeat of last year, when he finished second to claim the last automatic spot in the Chase.

Defending Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski begins the race in third, with Clint Bowyer in fourth. Bowyer is currently second in the Sprint Cup, and won this race in 2012. Matt Kenseth and Denny Hamlin start in row 3, while Jamie McMurray, Joey Logano, Greg Biffle, and Jimmie Johnson round out the top 10.
