Overall the weather forecast this weekend at Kansas Speedway is dry but there will be chilly temperatures, some gusty winds and a possible shower or two for part of the weekend.

Cold front moved through Thursday but a secondary front slides through during the day. This will bring gusty winds both today and on Saturday. Temperatures will also be unseasonably cold, struggling to reach 60 this afternoon and just barely reaching 60 on Saturday.

With this system moving through today, there is a small chance of an isolated shower or two popping up in the afternoon. I don't expect this to cause many if any problems for today.

Saturday remains breezy and cool for activities and the Nationwide race in the afternoon. It will be dry with sunny skies. Temperatures will only be in the low 60s by the afternoon. By Sunday and the Sprint Cup race, weather will be calm and nice. Afternoon temperatures will be in the low 70s and there will be plenty of sunshine.
