DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Tony Stewart has a secret addiction, and it’s one he’s not proud to admit publicly.
2014 Daytona 500: Tony Stewart admits Candy Crush obsession
My name is Tony Stewart and I am a Candy Crush addict.

Like many, the three-time NASCAR champion is obsessed with Candy Crush. That’s right; Stewart can’t stop playing the popular video game that has an average of 93 million daily players, who play the game more than 1 billion times, according to the company.
Stewart revealed his addiction during an interview with Miss Sprint Cup Friday at Daytona International Speedway the site of Sunday’s Daytona 500.
“I hate this game, but I got so far into it I can’t get out of it now,” Stewart said laughing. “I have beaten every level on my cell phone, I have beaten every level on the computer, and now I’m into the fantasy crap they now got.
“I keep telling myself, ‘I’m going to beat it and then stop playing.’”
For those unaware, Candy Crush is a puzzle game where the user mixes and matches different combinations of candy to accumulate points and other bonuses. And in fact, Stewart’s obsession is so great he regularly spends money to access special cheats.
“I have every cheat -- lives and all that crap,” Stewart said. “I’ve bet I’ve spent $2,000 on Candy Crush. It’s no wonder they’re getting ready for an IPO coming out soon. I probably own half the stock now and I don’t even realize it.”
