A year ago Jeff Gordon took an unsuspecting car salesman on a hairy test-drive. The video, which has been viewed by more than 40 million on YouTube, was widely derided as a stunt to promote Pepsi Max.
Disguised Jeff Gordon takes reporter on wild ride to evade cops
Jeff Gordon went undercover as a cab driver to pull a prank on a reporter who questioned the validity of a stunt Gordon participated in last year.

One of those who labeled the video fake was Travis Okulski, a contributor at Jalopnik, who went into great detail pointing out why it was nothing more than an elaborate hoax. Well, Gordon got his revenge, and got it in a very big way.
Posing as an ex-con cab driver complete with a neck tattoo, Gordon picks up Okulski from a North Carolina hotel. After being pulled over for a seemingly innocent traffic violation, Gordon continually utters “I can’t go back.” From there a high-speed chase from the cops unfolds.
Okulski validated the authenticity of the video in a post Thursday on Jalopnik:
”I thought I was going to die. I yelled, I banged the glass, I actually tried to kick through the plexiglass window between the driver and me. I pulled out my phone to call 911, but couldn’t keep it steady enough to dial.
“... So, just as I was able to say with total certainty that the first Pepsi Test Drive ad was totally fake, I can say with total certainty that this second Pepsi Test Drive ad is unequivocally, one hundred percent, totally, absolutely real.”
