NASCAR Bristol 2014: Start time, TV schedule for Food City 500

Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin will try to close the gap on Dale Earnhardt Jr. on Sunday.

Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

The 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup series visits fan favorite Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday for the Food City 500. The race begins at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised on FOX.

Denny Hamlin will start from the pole position for the first time this season and the second time in his career at Bristol. He’ll hope for a better finish than last season, when he won the pole but finished 28th. Brad Keselowski will join him on the front row for the third consecutive week. Kasey Kahne won the event in 2013 but will start tenth.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. still retains the points lead after three consecutive top ten finishes to begin the year, but will start outside the top ten in the 14th position on Sunday. Keselowski is just one point behind Earnhardt Jr. and will try to overtake him if the rain doesn’t delay the race until Monday.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is sitting in first place in the Sprint Cup standings after taking the checkered flag in Daytona and finishing in second place in last week’s race race in Phoenix. He will begin in 14th place on Sunday. Keselowski is just six points behind in the standings and Kevin Harvick is fourth after winning in Phoenix.

Here’s the schedule and broadcast coverage for the Food City 500.

Start time: 1 p.m. ET (race starts at 1:13 p.m.)

TV: FOX (pre-race show begins at 12 p.m. on FOX Sports 1)

Radio: SiriusXM Satelitte NASCAR Channel 90
