2014 NASCAR at Auto Club Speedway weather forecast: No rain this weekend

After a long rain delay at Bristol Motor Speedway last weekend during the Sprint Cup race, we get some nice quiet weather in California at Auto Club Speedway.

So far this season, NASCAR has seen rain three out of the last four weekends. First it was a rain delay during the Daytona 500, followed by rain on Saturday at Phoenix International Raceway and then last weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. Outside of Las Vegas Motor Speedway it has felt like NASCAR couldn’t catch a break from the weather. This weekend, NASCAR travels back out west to drought stricken California, and the rain didn’t travel west with them.

Other than some morning clouds and patchy fog the weather for Fontana, California this weekend is dry and very pleasant. Both today and Sunday will feature morning clouds, and possibly some fog but all that lifts and clears to give way to sunshine in the afternoon. Today afternoon temperatures will reach the mid to upper 60s with light winds. Sunday is similar but warmer with afternoon high temperatures near 70 and light winds.
