2014 NASCAR at Las Vegas Motor Speedway weather forecast: Dry but windy

For the first time in 2014, NASCAR will have a totally rain free weekend. While it will be dry, could there be other atmosphere phenomenon to cause problems?

We are only two races into the 2014 NASCAR season and it’s safe to say that teams, drivers and even fans have rain fatigue. Third times a charm as we go into the third race of the season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the weather forecast is completely rain free. Along with the sunshine and dry conditions temperatures will be pleasant in the afternoon as highs reach the low to mid 70s.

The only real weather concern I have this weekend will be gusty winds today and on Saturday. Winds will be out of the northeast, sustained between 15 to 25 mph and gust of 30 to 35 mph. This might cause a few issues for practice and maybe the Nationwide race on Saturday, but winds are expected to die down as we head into Sunday.
