How to follow Coca-Cola 600 online, TV schedule, radio and more

The NASCAR Sprint series heads to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600 under the lights.

Matt Sullivan

The 2014 Sprint Cup season has been a rough one for Jimmie Johnson, who is still looking for his first win of the year on Sunday where he’ll start on the pole at the Coca-Cola 600. Johnson has had plenty of success at the Charlotte Motor Speedway with six career victories at the track.

Although Johnson has yet to win a race this season, he will still enter the race seventh in the NASCAR Sprint Cup standings. He trails points eader Jeff Gordon by 54 points and could have an opportunity to make up some ground. Gordon has run very well this season with eight top-10 finishes in 11 races, but he may not be there when the race finishes on Sunday. Gordon has been struggling with back spasms this week and was forced to retire from practice early on Saturday.

Even with the issues, Gordon is planning to start the race Sunday night with Regan Smith -- the current Nationwide Series points leader -- on standby in case Gordon either doesn’t start the race or is unable to finish.

FOX will provide race coverage, beginning with pre-race coverage at 5:30 p.m. ET. Live race coverage will begin at 6 p.m. ET with Mike Joy, Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds in the booth. The green flag is scheduled for 6:16 p.m. ET. In addition to the television coverage, viewers with a subscription to RaceView will be able to follow the race online. Performance Racing Network on Sirius-XM will provide radio coverage.
