The weather forecast for today’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race, the Pocono 400 at Pocono Raceway, remains dry and warm and most importantly rain free.
2014 NASCAR at Pocono Raceway race day weather forecast
NASCAR may be at Pocono this weekend but there are no weather concerns for today’s Pocono 400.

High pressure will continue to influence the weather over eastern Pennsylvania during the day today. Clouds will be on the increase as the next storm system begins to move into western Pennsylvania later this afternoon, but the rain and storms associated with this system hold off until after the race is over and most fans have gone home. Those sticking around and camping overnight into Monday may have to deal with some rain and storms tonight into Monday.
Forecast for today is for a mix of sunshine and clouds, south wind of 5 to 15 mph and temperatures this afternoon near 80 degrees. Detailed hour by hour forecast can be found below.
