NASCAR Nationwide Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway results: Brad Keselowski cruises to win

Brad Keselowski scored a dominant victory in Saturday’s Nationwide Series race.

A dominant Brad Keselowski won from the pole in Saturday’s Nationwide Series race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Keselowski led 153 of 200 laps in handily winning the Sta-Green 200. Kyle Busch finished second followed by Matt Kenseth in third, Kyle Larson in fourth and rookie Chris Buescher completing the top five.

“One helluva Saturday,” said Keselowski, who earlier paced both rounds of practice for Sunday’s Sprint Cup race. “Sometimes on these really busy days you get so caught up in the action that you really can’t appreciate all that’s transpired.”

It was Keselowski’s second Nationwide victory of 2014, but his first since March at Las Vegas. In six series starts he hasn’t finished worse than sixth this season.

“This is really satisfying,” Keselowski said. “This team has deserved to win a few races and things just haven’t quite gone their way and it is nice to put it together here at Loudon with a strong car and great team.”

Championship leader Regan Smith finished seventh and won $100,000 as part of the Nationwide “Dash 4 Cash” program. Smith holds an eight-point lead over second-place Elliott Sadler, who overcame an early spin to finish sixth Saturday.

“We didn’t have the speed I thought we were going to have.” Smith said. “The last pit stop we had a little hiccup and it cost us some positions. At that point, you kind of know the situation for the day and it’s ‘OK, let’s take the silver lining and get out of here with the money.’ This means a lot to our team.”
