Jeff Gordon is on some kind of roll heading into the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.
NASCAR Bristol 2014 schedule: Jeff Gordon rolls into Irwin Tools Night Race
This weekend, Gordon hopes to rediscover his 1990s dominance at Bristol.

The driver of the No. 24 car has earned two consecutive poles, won two of the last four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races and sits atop the NSCS standings with only three races remaining until the Chase for the Cup begins on Sept. 14 in Chicago.
Gordon holds a slim lead over Dale Earnhardt Jr., who finished fifth last week and owns three victories this year himself. However, neither driver has had much luck at Bristol recently; Earnhardt hasn’t won there in 10 years, and despite taking four consecutive checkered flags there in the 1990s, Gordon is in a 12-year Bristol slump.
