NASCAR New Hampshire 2014: Start time, TV schedule for Sylvania 300

Richard Petty Motorsports’ Aric Almirola will be adding a layer of intrigue and innovation to the proceedings, as he will play the role of “in-race reporter” during Sunday’s Sylvania 300.

On top of Brad Keselowski trying to grab his third straight victory, the Chase for the Sprint Cup heating up and the usual excitement of the “Miracle Mile” at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, there’s yet another reason to watch this Sunday’s Sylvania 300: an in-race reporter.

Chase qualifier Aric Almirola will be the in-race reporter during ESPN’s live telecast of the race itself, which starts at 2:00 p.m ET., with the green flag expected just 15 minutes later. Almirola -- who drives the legendary No. 43 car for Richard Petty Motorsports -- will be speaking with analyst Dale Jarrett during down times, like pace laps and caution periods, to offer a unique perspective from inside the race, his car and the Chase.

Pre-race coverage begins at 1 p.m ET on “NASCAR Countdown” featuring Nicole Briscoe, Brad Daugherty and Rusty Wallace. Live race coverage will begin at 2 p.m. with Allen Bestwick, Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree in the booth. The green flag is tentatively scheduled for 2:16 p.m.

In addition to the television coverage, viewers with a subscription to RaceView will be able to follow the race online. Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM Satellite NASCAR Channel 90 will provide radio coverage.
