Michael Waltrip to compete on ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The Season 19 “Dancing With The Stars” cast will include Waltrip, Carlton from “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and Tommy Chong of Cheech & Chong fame.

Can Michael Waltrip two-step or perform the foxtrot? What about executing the rumba or the cha-cha? Those questions will be answered when the current NASCAR team owner, driver and personality appears on the upcoming edition of “Dancing With The Stars.”

The popular television show, which pairs celebrities with professional dancers, begins its 19th season Sept. 15 on ABC. Waltrip will be partnered with professional dancer Emma Slater, who in past seasons was paired with comedian Bill Engvall and actor Billy Dee Williams.

Also joining the cast is comedian Tommy Chong, Olympian Lolo Jones, MMA fighter and UFC champion Randy Couture, Alfonso Ribeiro (who played Carlton on “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) and Duck Dynasty’s Sadie Robertson, among others.

Waltrip, twice a winner of the Daytona 500, will not be the first race car driver to don dancing shoes and showcase his moves. Three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves has twice appeared on the show, and won the Season 5 competition
