The rows of souvenir trailers, which have long been a staple at NASCAR tracks, will soon be no more.

Beginning this season, NASCAR will phase out the haulers that travel from track to track and instead utilize a sprawling 65,000-square-foot enclosed tent. In 2016, the merchandise tent will have a presence at all 38 races on the Sprint Cup Series schedule described as an “enhanced, experiential shopping environment.”

To coincide with the implantation, NASCAR signed a 10-year agreement with Fanatics, which will operate the souvenir tent and become the “primary retailer of NASCAR, team and driver merchandise,” according to a release.

NASCAR states there will be “a major expansion of women’s and kids’ items” with divided areas for particular drivers, teams and other collectibles. The PGA Tour event and the NHRA drag racing series operate similar tents.

“A merchandise center will provide a more personal, organized, comfortable and convenient shopping environment for our fans,” said NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer Steve Phelps. “Partnering with an industry leader in Fanatics allows us to offer a comprehensive and seamless shopping experience for our fans -- whether it is in-venue, online or on mobile devices.”
