Race day double header at Dover International Speedway weather forecast

Rain washed out NASCAR’s Xfinity race Saturday and postponed it to Sunday morning. Will NASCAR be able to get both of these races in or will rain cause more problems.

Rain washed out the Xfinity race Saturday and moved it to Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Dover International Speedway will still be dealing with the upper level low that brought rain Friday and Saturday but it will be drier.

For the Xfinity race it will be cloud with some areas of fog and possible drizzle in the morning. A lot of this should end before 10 a.m. but some could linger and cause delays. Odds of racing the Xfinity race is between 65 to 75 percent Sunday morning.

For the afternoon’s Sprint Cup race it will remain mostly cloudy with peaks of sunshine. There’s a small chance of an isolated shower but overall the day Sunday is mostly dry. Odds of racing Sunday’s Sprint Cup race is still around 80 percent.
