Tony Stewart gifted with 6-foot bobblehead of himself

What exactly does someone do with a giant bobblehead?

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Before he began his final season of NASCAR competition, Tony Stewart asked that tracks didn’t bestow gifts upon him, similar to what Jeff Gordon received almost weekly during his retirement tour last year.

But Texas Motor Speedway president Eddie Gossage, who gave Gordon a pair of Shetland ponies a year ago, wasn’t going to be deterred and had a surprise for Stewart during driver introductions prior to Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at the 1.5-mile track.

What Gossage unveiled sitting inside a large wooden crate was a 6-foot tall bobblehead of Stewart, a replica of the normal-sized bobblehead the first 30,000 fans who attended the AAA Texas 500 received.
