Saturday morning radar shows areas of showers and a few thunderstorms to the west-southwest of Texas Motor Speedway. Those showers and storms could reach the track between 1-4 p.m. CDT if they hold together. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Duck Commander 500 is not scheduled until 6:30 p.m. CDT so there would be plenty of time to dry the track if it were to be a heavy rain. Odds of racing are still around 90 percent.
Race day weather at Texas Motor Speedway 2016: Possible afternoon shower
Saturday morning radar shows showers and a few thunderstorms moving toward Texas Motor Speedway. While rain may fall it should not have a big impact on Saturday night’s Duck Commander 500.

It will also be windy this evening at Texas Motor Speedway, which will help dry the track after the rain exits. Winds will be out of the south between 10-20 mph with possible gusts of 25-30 mph.
