NASCAR journeys back west to the wine country of Northern California for the first road course of the 2016 season. While fans love to say, “have drought, just schedule a NASCAR race,” it won’t help California this weekend as it will remain sunny and warm for Sonoma Raceway all weekend long.
2016 NASCAR weekend weather at Sonoma: Lots of sunshine in wine country
NASCAR returns to the west coast for the first road course of the season. While the drivers have to turn right, the weather will not be throwing any curves.

While not in California, the Camping World Truck Series is racing at Gateway Motorsports Park just outside of St. Louis. Weather there will be hot and humid and there is a chance of a shower or storm during the afternoon. I expect the trucks to race this evening but there could be a possible delay if any showers or storms form or pass over the track. Racing odds for the Truck Series race are around 80% tonight.
