What once looked like a dry and sunny weekend forecast at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend is starting to show an increased threat of scattered showers and storms on Sunday. I don’t like making changes to a weather forecast, unless it is to remove rain from an initially wet weather forecast, but I really don’t like adding rain to a forecast that has been mostly dry for the bulk of the week. Unfortunately, that is what I am seeing with new data for Sunday afternoon. At this point, there’s a chance of a few scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon for the New Hampshire 301 Sprint Cup race.

At this point I don’t expect a washout but with the new data I am not ruling out a possible delay. I am giving the odds of racing at 75% and will adjust if need be as we go through the day Saturday.
