NASCAR at Richmond 2016 race day weather forecast: Hot and sticky race night

Things are going to be hot all around at Richmond International Raceway from the action on the track to the temperatures leading up and during the race.

Hot and humid are the best words to describe the weather at Richmond International Raceway for the Sprint Cup Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR race. While the action will be hot on the track as drivers try to secure their spot into the 2016 Chase for the Sprint Cup, temperatures leading up to Saturday night’s race will also be hot. High Saturday afternoon at Richmond International Raceway will see afternoon temperatures in the low to middle 90s. With the humidity it will feel like it is in the upper 90s to just shy of 100.

During the race temperatures will remain warm with middle 80s for most of the race and a light wind out of the south.
