NASCAR at Richmond 2016 race weekend weather forecast: Hazy, hot and humid

The Saturday night race at Richmond International Raceway is a big one. It will determine the field for the 2016 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Both Friday and Saturday at RIR will be very hot and humid. In many cases this leads to showers and storms in the afternoon. Like gasoline away from an open flame, hot and humid weather can be harmless when it doesn’t have anything to trigger or develop the storms. That’s what we are looking at weather-wise both Friday and Saturday.

Both days will have highs in the 90s and it could feel like temperatures near 100. It will also be warm in the evening for the races with temperatures mostly in the 80s during the race.
