Fontana NASCAR weather: There’s actually a chance for rain this weekend

It took five weeks, but we have our first chances of rain during a NASCAR weekend at Auto Club Speedway.

It only took five weeks, but there is a chance of wet weather this weekend in sunny California at Auto Club Speedway. Most of the weekend in Fontana will be dry with just a chance of showers Saturday and that is mostly in the morning.

Sunshine and warm temperatures are likely on Friday as an area of high pressure continues to be in control. But a weak system comes in off the Pacific increasing the chance of a few showers Saturday.

This is definitely not a washout scenario for Saturday. In fact, most of the day Saturday could be dry, but there could be a delay in the morning. Then we will see a mix of clouds and sunshine for the afternoon.

Nice race day for the Auto Club 400 Monster Energy Cup race on Sunday. Pleasant temperatures in the low 70s with mostly sunny skies.
