It’s another pleasant and sunny race day for the Monster Energy Cup at Martinsville Speedway. Other than the Clash at Daytona, a nonpoints race, all the races for the official 2017 season have been nice and dry. For this NASCAR weatherman, it’s getting kind of boring. But it allows me to spend more time with family watching a race rather than watching a radar.
Martinsville NASCAR weather: No April fooling, another great race day
Since the start of the 2017 NASCAR season in Daytona, weather has cooperated and is giving Monster Energy Cup series another nice race day.

Like Saturday, there will be plenty of sunshine but less wind in Southern Virginia and temperatures near 70 degrees near the end of the race, with green flag temperatures in the middle to upper 60s.
