After a week off, the 2017 NASCAR Monster Energy Cup season is back on, with the Food City 500 on Monday afternoon from Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee. This is the eighth of 36 races this season. The race was delayed due to inclement weather.

When does this race start?

Television coverage of the Food City 500 will be covered by Fox with the green flag set for 1:13 p.m. ET.

How can I watch this race on TV and online?

Fox will televise the Food City 500 with the start of the race set for 1 p.m., with Mike Joy on play-by-play alongside race analysts Darrell Waltrip, Jeff Gordon, and Larry McReynolds. The broadcast will also include pit reporters Jamie Little, Chris Neville, Vince Welch, and Matt Yocum.

Online streaming of the race is available through Fox Sports Go.

Where is this race?

The Food City 500 is at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, one of two races this season at this track. The drivers return on Aug. 19 for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race.

Carl Edwards won the Food City 500 at Bristol in 2016, and has won this race two times in the last three years.

Quotable

Waltrip, who won a record 12 times in his career at Bristol, doesn’t think Edwards will repeat at the Food City 500 in 2017.

“It should be an interesting battle between Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Kyle Busch,” Waltrip said. “Beyond that, it’s anyone’s game. I can promise you it won’t be a repeat winner from last spring, though.”
