Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will try for his first win of the season on Sunday, and will do so from the pole position at the GEICO 500 from Talladega Super Speedway 500 from Lincoln, Alabama.

Stenhouse captured the pole on Saturday qualifying with a top speed of 191.547 mph, narrowly edging Dale Earnhardt, Jr., a six-time winner at Talladega.

Last week at Richmond, Stenhouse finished fourth, matching his best race of the season. He also finished fourth in Phoenix, and had one other top-10 finish this season, finishing 10th at Martinsville.

Brad Keselowski won the GEICO 500 in 2016, his third win of this race. He will start from third position on Sunday, trying to become the first back-to-back winner of the GEICO 500 since Jeff Gordon in 2004-05.

Points leader Kyle Larson starts in 21st position on Sunday, while last week’s winner Joey Logano starts 12th.

Fox will televise the race starting at 2 p.m., with the green flag set to drop at 2:20 p.m. ET. Online streaming is available through Fox Sports Go.
